Michael Wang

We gratefully acknowledge the outstanding achievements that Dr. Michael Wang has made in the areas of Science and Public Service.  A highly respected ophthalmologist, Dr. Wang has served as Chief of Ophthalmology at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), and Adjunct Faculty Preceptor at Tauro U – California.   In his ongoing efforts to support underrepresented students seeking a future in the health care professions, Dr. Wang tutors minority students and serves on the UCSF Admissions Committee.  Dr. Wang’s community service includes providing medical and surgical services in underserved areas inside and outside the United States.  His contributions to the field of Opthamology and his medical support of major professional athletic teams in the Bay Area have earned Dr. Wang many honors and awards during his 30-year career. Dr. Wang earned his undergraduate degree in Science of Psychobiology at UCLA.  He received his degree in Medicine and completed his Residency at UCSF.
