We gratefully acknowledge the outstanding achievements that Tony Gwynn Jr. has made in athletics. After a successful baseball career at Poway High, Tony played at San Diego State. He was a Mountain West Conference All-Star in 2003, when he hit .359 and stole 25 bases. He was also named as an all-star in the Cape Cod Baseball League, the nation's premier collegiate summer league. After college, Tony began his professional career with the Milwaukee Brewers He made his debut in Major League Baseball in 2006 with the Brewers. Gwynn played a total of eight seasons in the major leagues with four teams including two seasons with the San Diego Padres. Upon completion of his baseball career, Tony became a popular radio and TV baseball analyst and sports talk show host.
